Nigeria Has Qualified For 2018 World Cup And We Couldn’t Be Prouder

Nigeria is jubilating right now.

This is because Nigerians are big fans of football and our country has just qualified for the biggest football tournament in the world, The FIFA World Cup next year. We all remember our exploits at the last World Cup (WC) in Brazil in 2014. And we’re going to Russia in 2018 like …

After beating Zambia 1 nil at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria has 13 points.

This is 6 points above the second team in Group D (Group of Death) which happens to be Zambia.

We have Arsenal wonder boy, Alex Iwobi to thank for qualifying!

Iwobi scored a late screamer in the 73rd minute to put the Eagles ahead.

Alex Iwobi has just scored this goal for Nigeria to put them 1-0 up – A win sends them to the World Cup. 🔥🔥

And Nigeria exploded into celebrations like

We heard Russia is cold AF, so we’re kitting up ahead of the World Cup in national colours.

Just ask Atiku Abubakar. The former Vice President is ready for Russia already.

They say Russia is cold. We are still coming! Haha! Congratulations to the Super Eagles and all Nigerians!

We still have to play Algeria.

But that’s just a formality as we’re the first African country to qualify for the WC. Win, lose or draw, we’ve already qualified for the WC.

We’re looking forward to seeing our neighbours, Ghana, in Russia.

Oh, wait….they haven’t qualified yet. They have to do permutation and combination on their going to Russia.
